Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will once again have an official State of Georgia Specialty License Plate

Sorors,

It is a pleasure to announce that Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will once again have an official State of Georgia Specialty License Plate!!!! After a long process, we have recently received approval from the state of Georgia to begin collecting for the manufacturing fee required for all specialty license plates. The license plates will not move into production until we have obtained request forms and payment for a minimum of 1000 license plates, and these forms and payments have been conveyed to the State Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicles Division.

This process will be coordinated by Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter (SM-LAC), and will work similar to payments for the Statewide Cluster and Founders Day events. Each chapter will collect funding from its chapter members, and send one chapter and/or certified check to Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter (SM-LAC), along with all forms for the state (MV-9 Form for each tag request and Chapter Summary Sheets). This is done to ensure that all individuals who apply are actually members. Non-financial sorors may apply and be included at the discretion of the local chapter who may require confirmation of membership. Stone Mountain Lithonia Alumnae Chapter will bundle all forms and payment for submission to the Georgia Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicles Division.

Click here to view the complete tag package which includes:

  1. A copy of the individual form required by the State Department of Motor Vehicles – the MV-9 Form. EACH soror requesting a tag application must complete a form. If a soror wishes to purchase two tags, she must complete two forms – one for each tag.
  2. A Frequently Asked Questions Summary to assist with explaining the process for the tag application and distribution process.
  3. Sample of the proposed tag design.

DEADLINE to have funds and form(s) to the Chapter Finance Team: Saturday, April 21, 2012 (Received by Date)
