A Delta’s Prayer

Dear Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace each day,
May I always remember to kneel humbly and pray.
Let me do my fair share at each meeting
And give all Sorors a pleasant greeting.
Help me to keep in mind that no particular project is mine alone.
As a member of the group, I must abide
By what the wishes f the majority have shown.
May I do my part to see that the meeting is conducted in a Christ-like way;
Making each Soror feel welcome and glad that she came today.
When we disagree, as we sometimes must,
May it be done in a manner that is sisterly and just.
Let me not hold grudges or live in the past,
Remembering that nothing forever lasts, and that in time, this too shall pass.
When the meeting is over, return us safely to our place of abode.
May Delta’s business remain always a secret code.
